For starters, let’s look at her character design. She is a fine-looking elegant woman and her fashion sense is really likable. Katarina Claes wares your typical fancy fantasy monarchial dress like that of a princess. It suits her very well since the world she was reincarnated was some type of medieval age place where prince and princesses lived. She also wears a peasants dress sometimes since she usually farms on this show. The fans of hamefura are really digging this character designs. I think this is one of the reasons why we like the atmosphere and the fashion choice of this show
“Bakadere” or also know as idioticy fetish on anime characters was popularized by other anime protagonists like goku from dragon balls, Yoshiko Hanabatake from Aho Girl, and Aqua from konusuba. These characters are very likable that we want to be friends with them despite there idiotic behavior. In real life because we as individuals find these kinds of people funny and easy to get along with. Just like other characters of the show, they were drawn to this personality trait because bakadere were sociable creatures and easily forgiving characters. This trait is admirable and Katarina nailed it very well.
Lastly, her cute and pretty face. She was a very pretty girl despite her role as a villainess of the otome game she was reincarnated with. Unlike any other villain who always portrayed as someone who was cool or badass, the creators of the anime made Katarina a villain looking while remaining pretty and lovely.
Combined together, her idiot personality plus her cute face and fashion sense make her a likable and adorable protagonist not only to the viewers but also to the side characters of hamefura
